Here is a site where
people can gather together in their desire to share the love of
Jesus. Inspired by a Christmas song, "Who Needs To Know?", written by Mary
sung by Jim Dunmire, this has blossomed into a ministry with a DVD
of the same song,
to encourage people to reach out to others with the love of Jesus.
As we find ourselves
in "these final days", there is no better time than now to ask
yourself, "who needs to know,
and who needs to hear" the good news of the saving grace
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. [Read
Here you are!
Either you are a brand new Christian (Congratulations!) or
you have been one for sometime now but havenít grown up. If
you have received Christ as your Savior, then you are
assured eternal life with Him. But there is so much more! So
much more of the blessed experience of walking and growing
in Him! Where do you start?
1. Church - Finding a good Bible-teaching Church that
emphasizes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is so important
in your life as a Christian. And donít just attend only on
Sundays. Participate in its many programs. The Pastorís
sermons and teachings, the fellowship of other believers,
and small groups of believers who get together to learn,
apply and share the Scriptures will all help you to become a
mature Christian. Everyone is at a different stage in his
life in Christ, and we can learn from each other. Remember,
God never leaves you how He finds you. When you submit to
Him, He will change you and help you to become the person
you were created to be.
2. Bible - Buy yourself an easy-to-read Bible. There are many
versions available. NIV (New International Version) is one of them.
There are others. Your Pastor and friends at church can help you
find one that will best suit you.
3. Daily Devotions - Everyday, make time for spending time with God.
This is the most important thing you can do! This will be the time
that God will speak to you. Praying, Bible reading and meditation
will lead you into an intimate relationship with God. Some people
use a devotional along with their Bible reading. Others read only
from the Bible. Keep a journal and record what God is saying to you.
You will be amazed at what nuggets pop out of the Scriptures that
are meant just for you! Keep a prayer list, with not only prayer
needs, but prayer answers. Remember to thank God for His goodness,
love and mercy! He loves to be praised!
4. Friends - Surround yourself with people who love Jesus. Being in
the company of other believers help you to live a Christian life, as
compared to a worldly life that nonbelievers can live. Christian
friends help us to be accountable to each other, and they can be a
source of encouragement when times get hard.
Doing these things will help you to grow in your walk with God. So
many spiritual gems will be revealed to you, and you, in turn, will
be able to help others who are seeking to follow Christ. And
remember, you are not alone as you strive to be a Christian! Jesus
sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in you, to help you day by day, and
moment by moment. Trust in Him to direct you. Submit to Him. Love
Him with all your heart, soul and mind. Daily recommit yourself to
Him. The best is yet to be!!
